The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has provided the software for the electronic interbanking money market containing in itself three platforms for the trade in the real time between commercial banks and these being : a) trade of deposits in the KM, b) trade with foreign exchange assets and c) trade with the cash. The use of software out of these three reasons among commercial banks shall be performed at the voluntary principle, i.e. if the banks estimate that they need such kind of operation.

Also, this software is used between the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the commercial banks for the jobs of KM sale and purchase, the announcment of transport of the cash and other jobs that are defined by the Central Bank.

Electronic interbanking money market for the jobs of KM sale and purchase and for the announcment of cash transport between the commercial banks and the central bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina officialy started January 5, 2009. With the introduction of the software platform for the inter-banking money market in function, so far ways of communication between the Central Bank and the commercial banks for the announcements of KM sale and purchase and for the announcement of cash transport (fax, encrypting) shall be used as the back up way of communication.
