Payment System Department will be closed on January 1 and January 2, 2002, which means that transactions in RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) and giro clearing system will not be proceeded during the holidays. In the next year, there will be no supplemental settlements of the payment transactions from December 31, 2001. First working day in 2002 will be January 3.
From January 5 until December 26, 2001, 11.711.705 transactions in value of KM 16,5 billion were settled through RTGS and giro clearing system. There are 42 banks which take part in the payment system.
